Thanks! You mention "grace notes" (looked like E, Eb, D). Can you tell us more about grace notes (specific combos, when we might use them)?

Mike, I tend to use the grace notes, which are normally a half step under the target notes, on key parts of the melody or improv. But you don't want to overuse them.. they are like tabasco sauce, a little goes a long way. Think of the star spangled banner... if it was a jazz tune, i would consider using a grace note on the very first note i.e. just jazzes things up a bit

Alternate Mode Pan KAT

Advanced pan technique

So there are lots of books and videos on how to play pan - all the ones I've seen are for beginners. Anybody know of Advanced technique books? I see LiamTteague does a beginner book- I would love for him to do one for more advanced players.
